Does the Gorilla Ant get justice? I love doing these videos. They take time but I am really learning how to create this character. I use several tools to create them all. They are crazy but that's part of my mind. I have to create them to stay sane. All music is original and written and recorded by real people. I enjoy every moment of all of this creative journey. And if any one is watching, I think this one is cool. I finally got the Gorilla Ant to look like a complete character. Whew!
This one is funny because the Gorilla Ant believes he owns everything even though he is a figment of my imagination. So he takes me to court.

So my favorite person in the world told me that I have to calm down. Her exact words were “practice not being a douche.” I was like damn. Is she talking about me? I mean I have been a douche in my life. I admit that fully. But currently I’m working on not being an asshole. Can I do both? Maybe I stopped being an asshole and started being a douche. While this is going through my head. She says, “no ya goof.” “Everyone else that’s being a douche shouldn’t raise your blood pressure. It’s not like you’re their teacher.” And a light bulb went off! 💡 Then her voice of reason said, “I just need you to calm down. You can’t fix everything.” I know she meant the political system, the government, our way of life and our freedom. But I think deep down she meant calm down and finish the “honey do list.” So in this small interaction, she calmed me down, had me step away from yelling into the void and got me to do chores. It’s incredible. I think I’m saving the world but really I’m being manipulated into breathing technics and taking out the trash. I see you woman. Pure genius! So I’m going to go back to releasing videos. It’s October so for the rest of the year, it will be videos and songs. Try not to forget the government is shut down. And enjoy this strangely odd video from my mind.

August comes to me like a new beginning
but I can’t let go of July
The heat is cold and burns
the shine seems to empty my mind
Which is refreshing as I’m finding their old treasures, one heartbreak at a time
Packing up separate piles of what they considered gold
If it hadn’t already burned, flooded or been covered in mold
To the trash with can’t keepsakes
Keep it moving, we have plenty here to take

Memories that at their peak
Made us laugh and we would speak
Tweaking them just a bit each time
As the slight exaggeration became real in our minds
When I was little, I didn’t know why
Why we would keep those little old memories on repeat
Like carrots and peas, re-runs on tv
I thought they would reek and rot in my brain.
But the stories calm me now numbing the pain
as I toss out or try to save
what’s left of the family cave
Vintage trinkets of their lives that touched my soul.
Leaving me with little pocket sized holes
Like Croce’s Leroy but the line should be
I’m a jigsaw puzzle but my pieces are gone.

Like his life, her mind and their love. It shouldn’t be treated with kids gloves
These two had 60 years
with some of the most insane stories you’d ever hear
Their stories have crossed the world
And if you are lucky and you catch yourself in the right place, you might over hear
about the love these two shared
or the lives they have touched

Hold strong, we have been together too long
for we are fierce and we were taught to hold as one.
Wait, you don’t need his Master Sergeant’s plea.
One more look into the past, so I don’t forget to see
Blessed with holding hands to the bitter end
From sea to shining sea
Beautiful memories they made plated in gold
Intangible now but in our mind’s strong hold
Stories from their lives stuck in our minds
turned in to comedy and music blending with time
Broken, battered, not going out the same, Bobby Dean is no longer in pain
As August rushes in, families notified
The questions waining of how, what, and why
I haven’t found the peace or time
to let go of the month of July.

Love your peeps! It is tough out there and we really don't know what anyone is going through. I assume many have been slapped in the face by 2025 already. I am with you! I had wonderful, creative plans as well as physical goals for the start of 2025. But I am not going to give myself a hard time for set backs, for not achieving or even being on the road to accomplishing those goals. I am going to breathe, take a step back, love those around me even more. And come out swinging for the rest of 2025!

He may not be good
Most people pass and think he is ok
But the whole that seems to linger
Puts his finger on the trigger and he wants to pull down the shades
The liquor has dried up and the smoke has been extinguished
But now he’s languishing in his brain
To the point of teetering on being sane
He plays back all of the days
Every single mistake
And he wants to blow them all away
Not the people, please don’t be strange
Only the errors hang him in terror one second at a time, all in line and most of the time
The big ones, he can forgive himself and burn them from the shelf
The little ones still live inside
Hiding right before they tear the lies of being ok away
He seems to dabble in the babble of writing
Taunting the creative parts of his brain
But the goo of blues that sits with folks isn’t heavy enough for the dark and weary thoughts that are scaring his scars today
He needs some thrashing and a dash of clashing and little sounds that make some afraid
He needs dark roots with grunge boots and black notes with strings where bows and picks are treated the same. Blazing cymbals hissing to even feel a little bit sane.
He has seen red like they all say
But when it’s the worst it’s like the day goes on around him spinning with joy and color without a sound from his body colorless with no words screaming from the page like he isn’t even there
But he doesn’t dare react so his feeling stay intact and all the strange and colorful people go about their day
And if they go on without him then they never needed his presence sparsely like parsley they just leave him sitting there uneaten on the plate
But as of this date, sober and still, black and white the color starts to show, peeling away the past one line at a time so it disappears the same as it arrived one day. Leaving the colorful joy, full of sound so when the strangers pass by again today, they are right, he is ok.
